Our Goal

Every Human Resources professional knows about the longevity imperative. There are 160,000 members of the professional organisation Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD). We want all to be inspired to future-proof employment growth to support the 50 year career - and the emergence of 5 generations in one workforce, with increasing understanding of the needs of different ages and stages of life and the accommodations needed.

Impact and Activity 

Engage the CIPD as a ChangeMaker with a strong presence at its annual conference connecting to CIPD members through its communication channels. Amplify our campaign through active ChangeMakers working with employers on age inclusion.

Every Human Resources professional in the UK is aware of the Age Irrelevance campaign and understands the longevity imperative, 50 year career, 5 generational workforce and the impact on career paths.

Change mechanisms

Changing hearts and minds by setting out a compelling narrative of the 50 year career, intergenerational teams, and the need for lifelong-learning to influence employment strategies.

Outcomes

We see a shift in Governments' and employers' attitudes and approaches towards age, with increasing understanding as people extend working lives, change career paths and change how they work. We see work longevity strategies becoming well-established and the provision of relevant employment data.
